This research paper serves as a tool to understand what impacts the process of ERP system
selection by enterprises and what are the real benefits from this implementation. Ultimately, we
will gain insight on how firms prioritize these systems based on their own needs. To do so, this
paper made use of a questionnaire to inquiry different enterprises (based in Portugal), in terms
of size, revenues, number of employees and industry. The study demonstrated that there are
certain industries that are biased towards specific ERP systems and that the number of years
with an integrated system has a correlation with user satisfaction.
