criminosa, estado pré-linguístico onde o mal (do poema e do leitor) seria evitado, onde o poeta,
demonizado, seria salvo. Assim sendo, esta dissertação falha.
Analysis of the literary work of Herberto Helder, opposing the self-reliance of each poem with the possible existence of one “continuous poem”, one semantic line running through every poem. Starting from the “ars poetica” Photomanton & Vox, as a possible reading key, it’s pondered its conception of the poem: criminality, as an antisocial act, apocalyptical, attacking and destroying the world, isolating itself in the process. This destruction starts in the poet’s own memory, moving it then to the Other, changed, murdered, and ironized, as everything else, targets of the dark poetic laughter. This ironic tone doubles the meaning of every symbol, dualizing the sense of the poem, making its full reading impossible, closing it, inside itself, obscure, unreachable point to the reader, which will simply suffer the same fate as the poet and his founts: death, transformation. This failure in the poem’s reading aims it to silence, as final peace: absence of the criminal word, pre-linguistic state where this evil (of the poem and of the reader) would be avoided, where the poet, demonized, would be saved. As such, this dissertation fails.
