A seguinte dissertação prende-se, numa primeira parte, com o acto do testemunho e as condições, não só que o possibilitam, como aquelas que são com ele criadas. Para isso, pretendeu-se demonstrar como toda a poesia é em si uma forma de testemunho e como todo o testemunho contém em si algo de irreparavelmente poético, visto assentarem ambos – poema e testemunho – nos mesmos pressupostos de construção, em particular a memória, a linguagem e a tranformação de um Eu em Outro. Tanto um poema como um testemunho só se concretizam quando colocados em lugar de partilha, quando abertos ao padecer e à Paixão de outrem. Numa segunda parte, e para melhor demonstrar esta relação, procede-se à leitura da poesia de Fernando Assis Pacheco, relevando como na sua obra é singular a aproximação entre poesia e testemunho, e como nos seus poemas, ao manterem uma relação íntima com a Morte, conseguimos compreender um testemunho enquanto forma de abertura ao Outro.
The following dissertation deals, in the first part, with the act of testimony, not only with the conditions that allow it, but also those that are created with it. It was for this intended to demonstrate how all poetry is in itself a way of testimony and how all testemonies hold in themselves something irreparably poetic, seen that they both stand – poem and testimony – on the same constructive premises, particularly memory, language, and the transformation of the I into Other. Both poem and testimony can only happen when put in a place of share, when open to the suffering and Passion of others. In the second part, and to better demonstrate this relation, we will procede to the reading of Fernando Assis Pacheco’s poetry, demonstrating how singular his work is when it comes to the proximity between poetry and testimony, and how with his poems, by keeping a close connection with Death, can we understand a testimony as a way of opening to the Other.
