O aparecimento da Internet e os avanços da tecnologia alteraram profundamente o
modo como se faz jornalismo nas últimas décadas. Os meios de comunicação são
obrigados a reformular o modo de produção e distribuição noticiosa. Surgem, por isso,
novas oportunidades, onde a maior presença no ambiente online, possibilita um
jornalismo cada vez mais interativo e participativo. É neste contexto que o presente
trabalho se focou. Através do estágio curricular, realizado no semanário Visão, foi
possível experienciar e aprofundar o exercício do jornalismo, em especial, a prática
jornalística na área de ciência. A ciência e tecnologia não é um tema regular na revista
mas, através da análise da sua página Facebook, verificou-se quando presente, está
entre os mais populares. Foi também alvo de estudo o processo de reestruturação
gráfica, o maior registado nos últimos dez anos, na revista. Avaliadas as principais
diferenças entre o novo formato e o antigo, verificou-se uma maior dedicação da
revista no mundo digital. A monitorização constante da atividade da Visão.pt,
particularmente das suas redes sociais, é uma ferramenta importante de gestão. Medir
o efeito das suas ações e com isso perceber o que os seus leitores procuram, é crucial
para identificar as melhores estratégias de aproximação com o público. E claro, sem
esquecer a relevância do conteúdo, que tem para a criação de um sentimento de
confiança na comunidade e, de que o jornalismo sempre dependeu.
The emergence of the Internet and technological advances have deeply changed how journalism is carried out in recent decades. The media are required to rebuild the way of production and distribution of news. So, new opportunities arise in the online environment which provides an increasingly interactive and participatory journalism. The present work was conducted in this context. Through an internship at newsmagazine Visão, it was possible to experience the practice of journalism, in particular, scientific journalism. Science and technology is not a regular feature in the magazine but when it is shared, on their Facebook page, it is among the most popular. The graphical restructuring process, recorded the biggest changes in the last ten years in the magazine. It was also analysed on study. It was evaluated that the main difference between the new and the old magazine, it was noticed that there has been a greater focus on the digital world. The systematic monitoring of page activity performance, particularly in their social media, is an important management tool. To measure the effect of their actions and thus realise what their readers are looking at is crucial to identify the best approach strategies with the public. And, of course, without forgetting the importance of the content, which is the key to create a sense of trust in the community on whom journalism, has always depended.
