O presente relatório inicia-se com uma descrição da estrutura e dos processos de trabalho do Conselho Nacional de Educação, entidade na qual foi realizado o estágio.
No âmbito dos trabalhos de desenvolvimento do estudo sobre o “Tempo Escolar” e como elemento integrante da respetiva equipa de assessoria técnico-científica do Conselho, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura sob o tema em apreço e uma análise comparativa sobre a gestão do tempo escolar no contexto europeu.
Para compreender como as escolas gerem o tempo com base nas políticas de gestão flexível do currículo, realizámos um estudo sobre a organização e distribuição da carga horária letiva das áreas disciplinares dos horários escolares do 5.º e 9.º anos de escolaridade do ensino regular do sistema educativo português a partir de uma amostra estratificada de 134 agrupamentos de escolas (1185 horários/turmas).
This report starts with a description of the structure and working procedures of the National Education Council, the organization where the internship took place. While developing the study on - "School Time" - and as part of the scientific and technical advisory team of the Council carried out the study, I engaged on a literature review about the topic and on a comparative analysis about school time management in Europe. In order to understand how schools manage their time and schedules, the study focuses on the organization and distribution of school time on the 5th and 9th grade of the regular Portuguese Education System based on a on a stratified sample of 134 school clusters (1185 hours/classes).
