Murais comunitários de Riachos: Documentos orientadores para a sua conservação

Riachos é uma vila rural e agrícola com um forte espírito associativo que celebra a
Festa da Bênção do Gado a cada quatro anos. Em 2012 e como resultado dessa celebração
surgiram os murais, utilizados como uma forma de engalanar as ruas durante a festa. Dada
a forte aceitação pela parte da comunidade e visitantes, foram criados outros nas edições
seguintes. Assumidos como património cultural comunitário, foi sentida a necessidade de
os preservar. Como contributo para esse objetivo foram criados, neste trabalho de projeto,
documentos orientadores. O protocolo de monitorização visa acompanhar o estado de
conservação dos murais existentes. O guia de criação visa apoiar a execução de novos.
Riachos is a rural and agricultural village with a strong community spirit that celebrates the Blessing of the Cattle Festival every four years. In 2012, as a result of this celebration, murals were created, used as a way of decorating the streets during the festival. Given the strong acceptance by the community and visitors, more were created in the following editions. As they are considered part of the community's cultural heritage, the need to preserve them was felt. As a contribution to this objective, guiding documents were created in this project work. The monitoring protocol aims to monitor the conservation status of existing murals. The creation guide aims to support the creation of new ones.
