This paper explores the potential for El Corte Inglés (ECI) Lisbon to emerge as a must-visit
destination for international tourists by focusing on luxury retail strategies. The study
analyses global and Portuguese tourism, luxury retail, and consumer behaviours. Methodologically, primary data from a tourist survey and interviews were conducted. As a
focus, specific tourist services that ECI Lisbon provides will be analysed, around which
relevant recommendations are given. The research eventually put forward propositions that
highlight building up a holistic concierge for tourists.
