Resumo(s)
This Work Project conducts a comprehensive analysis of the cultural fields of Portugal and
Brazil, with specific focus on their interrelation and the corresponding culture supporting Laws,
Rouanet and Mecenato. Through the highlighting of differences and correlations, disparities in
direct investment, cultural employment and the link between the Human Development Index
and cultural activities are revealed. Evaluating the effectiveness of the Rouanet Law in Brazil,
it underscores economic impacts, regional disparities, and challenges stemming from excessive
dependence. A comparative study of Portugal’s Mecenato Law reveals inefficiencies, signaling
a need for revision.
