O presente relatório surge no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário. Este encontra-se estruturado em três partes distintas. A primeira é composta por um enquadramento teórico relacionado com a temática em estudo, ou seja, a interação entre a Educação Geográfica e os media. Aqui procede-se a uma reflexão sobre o tema tendo por base algumas obras de autores de referência, procurando compreender os desafios da educação no presente século e como é que os media podem ser um recurso na construção da literacia geográfica. No mesmo capítulo são abordadas várias propostas de aplicação e utilização dos media em contexto educativo, bem como a análise de vários meios de comunicação utilizados em contexto escolar, nomeadamente em articulação com o Curriculo Nacional e o Programa de Geografia. A segunda e terceira partes do relatório incidem sobre a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada realizada no Colégio Atlântico, no concelho do Seixal. Aqui são apresentados alguns dos instrumentos desenvolvidos no âmbito da aplicação dos media no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, bem como uma metodologia orientadora para o professor na elaboração de materiais que promovam a melhor compreensão da Geografia, com foco nas competências do Perfil do Aluno e nas Aprendizagens Essenciais.
This report appears within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master's Degree in Geography Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education. This is structured into three distinct chapters. The first part is composed of a theoretical framework related to the topic under study which is an interaction between Geo-graphic Education and the media. Here we reflect on the topic based on some works by leading authors, seeking to understand the challenges of education in the present century and how the media can be a resource in the construction of geographic literacy. The same chapter addresses several proposals for the application and use of communication media in the educational context, as well as the analysis of various media used in academic context, particularly in conjunction with the National Curriculum and the Geography Program. The second and third parts of the report will focus on the Supervised Teaching Practice carried out at Colégio Atlântico, in the municipality of Seixal, Portugal. This chapter addresses some of the instruments developed within the scope of the media application in the teaching and learning process as well as a teacher-oriented methodology, which is a helpful way to use media resources for a better understanding of Geography, focusing on the Student Profile skills and Essential Learning.
