A presente Dissertação de Mestrado tem como objetivo apresentar uma leitura alegórica da obra O Marinheiro, da autoria de Fernando Pessoa, assente no seu processo de criação literária, que tem por base o sonho e a sua interrupção. No primeiro capítulo, procura-se destacar a importância que a expressão dramática tem no universo literário de Fernando Pessoa, explorando-se, igualmente, a sua dramaturgia. De seguida, analisase
O Marinheiro, atendendo às questões existenciais e à espectralidade, inerente ao teatro estático. No último capítulo, define-se a ideia da escrita como a transcrição de um sonho interrompido, o que permite, por fim, evidenciar O Marinheiro como uma alegoria para a criação literária pessoana.
The present Master's Thesis aims to provide an allegorical interpretation of the work The Mariner by Fernando Pessoa, based on his literary creation process rooted in dreams and their interruption. In the first chapter, we emphasize the importance of dramatic expression in Fernando Pessoa's literary universe and explore his dramaturgy. Subsequently, we present an analysis of The Mariner, focusing primarily on its existential questions in the light of the spectrality inherent in static theater. In the last chapter, we define the concept of writing as the transcription of an interrupted dream, ultimately highlighting The Mariner as an allegory for Pessoa's literary creation.
