Esta dissertação tem como principal objetivo investigar como o ativismo virtual surge e se organiza dentro das redes sociais portuguesas, em torno da partilha da hashtag #VermelhoEmBelem, que deu origem a uma manifestação nacional e internacional, alcançando países como o Brasil, Espanha e a França. O objetivo proposto através deste estudo, é, portanto, o de investigar e compreender como os utilizadores das quatro redes sociais popularmente utilizadas pelos portugueses (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook e TikTok) se apropriaram desse movimento virtual. Através de uma pesquisa fundamentada nos métodos digitais, pretende-se responder à seguinte pergunta de investigação: De que forma o ativismo social de cunho feminista se organiza e se manifesta nas redes sociais em Portugal por meio da hashtag #VermelhoEmBelem?
The main aim of this dissertation is to investigate how virtual activism arises and organizes within Portuguese social networks by focusing on the sharing of the hashtag #VermelhoEmBelem, which gave rise to a national and international virtual protest, reaching countries such as Brazil, Spain, and France. The objective proposed through this study is, therefore, to investigate and understand how users of four social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) popularly used by Portuguese users have engaged with this virtual protest. Through a research based on digital methods, this dissertation intends to answer the following research question: How is social activism of a feminist nature organized and manifested in Portuguese social media through the hashtag #VermelhoEmBelem?
