Este trabalho consiste na análise do espólio cerâmico recolhido num contexto de lixeira (fossa detrítica) identificado na Mouraria de Lisboa, no Beco de São Marçal, fruto de uma intervenção arqueológica de emergência levada a cabo em 1993. Neste conjunto encontrámos fragmentos de cerâmica vidrada e também pintada a branco sendo o grupo mais volumoso a cerâmica comum. Estes elementos datam do século XV, classificação obtida através do estabelecimento de paralelos cerâmicos dessa mesma centúria.
Cremos que este trabalho levou à obtenção de novos dados e informação, passível de contribuir para uma melhor compreensão dos hábitos de produção e consumo na Mouraria de Lisboa, no século XV. Esta torna-se particularmente relevante devido ao papel preponderante destas produções no abastecimento da cidade de Lisboa durante este mesmo período.
This paper consists of an analysis of a series of ceramics recovered from a ceramics dump, identified in the Mouraria of Lisbon, in the alley of São Marçal, that resulted from an archaeological emergency intervention in 1993. In this set we found fragments of glazed pottery as well as pottery painted in white, being the largest ceramics group that of common pottery. These elements are coherent with others found in 15th century archaeological contexts. This work as led to the documentation of new data and information that may contribute to a better understanding of the customs concerning production and consumption of pottery goods in the Mouraria of Lisbon, in the 15th century.
