This internship report aims to describe and analyze an eight-month period in which I carried out an internship at the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), as part of the Master's Degree in Political Science and International Relations, in the specialization area of European Studies, at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Nova University Lisbon. This internship report aims to analyse the relevance of cooperation between the Organisation of Ibero-AmericanStates and the Council of Europe (CoE) in terms of culture, considering the structuring values and objectives shared by both international organisations, as organisations responsible for promoting and protecting them, based on the cultural programme "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe" and the cooperation initiative between the two international organisations, "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe and Ibero-America", as the object of study. This report concludes that the "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe" programme has considerable potential for replication in other geographical areas and that the joint cultural cooperation initiative between the OEI and the CoE, "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe and Ibero-America", is an important tool for disseminating good institutional practices and projecting democratic European values.
