Resumo(s)
A country’s political and incentive environment is crucial when assessing it as a potential production location. For a German premium manufacturer such as Audi, key factors include political stability, institutional quality, corruption risks, trade agreement coverage, and sector-specific FDI incentives. Vietnam combines a stable one-party system and an extensive FTA network with a highly favorable incentive regime for high-tech automotive investments, making it politically attractive despite persistent challenges related to judicial independence, transparency, and embedded corruption. Overall, Vietnam offers a moderately strong but institutionally complex setting that can serve as a viable future production and logistics hub for Audi, provided the investment is structured through robust local partnerships and careful risk management.
