Resumo(s)
The Center for Digital Inclusion is a non-profit organisation focused on increasing equitable
access to digital resources and skills in Portugal. Apps for Good is one of the educational
programs that operates as a business unit of CDI and has been operating in Portugal for eight
years. Apps for Good is a program the creates the opportunity for young people to engage in
solutions-oriented app designing around a social, environmental, political, or cultural issue of
their choice. The endgame objective of the program is national expansion via government
adoption. To achieve this objective, Apps for Good must continue to show that the project
shows impressive impact reports as well as continue to increase their market share. Currently,
the revenues of the program cover 57% of the costs and most of their revenues are reliant on
private donations. The focus of this project is to investigate possible solutions to increase the
programs own revenues and to highlight possible areas of investment into the business that can
foster growth. Based on a five-year scenario analysis, incorporating our recommendations
increases AfG total revenues by €23,400 whilst managing a cost increase of €1,700. Total own
revenues will increase by €3,400.
