Este relatório tem como objetivo a exposição do meu trabalho como estagiária de gerente de projetos na Sister’s House e nos Hébergements Collectifs da Plateforme Citoyenne de Soutien aux Réfugiés BEL Refugees, em Bruxelas, entre outubro de 2022 e maio de 2023. Foco-me, depois, numa análise da questão da integração de imigrantes em Bruxelas e numa reflexão sobre a relevância de uma abordagem qualitativa, feita através do envolvimento voluntário dos cidadãos de Bruxelas. Pretendo, então, defender a importância de uma desconstrução e reformulação do conceito de integração, realçando o impacto que a sociedade de acolhimento pode ter neste processo.
This report was written with the goal of sharing my work as a project manager intern at the Sister’s House and Collective Accomodations of the Plateforme Citoyenne de Soutien aux Réfugiés BEL Refugees, in Brussels, between October 2022 and May 2023. After that, I focus on an analysis of the immigrant integration topic in Brussels and on a reflection on the relevance of a qualitative approach, achieved by the engagement of civil society. Thus, I intend to defend the importance of a deconstruction and reformulation of the concept of integration, emphasizing the impact that the host society can have in this process.
