“Na Porta ao Lado” (NPL) is a social project with the main objective of mitigate the
isolation problem by bringing elderly people and neighborhood families together through a relationship of trust, where families can educate their children for this issue and the elderly can feel safe and increase their quality of life. This study proposes different strategies and aim to increase the chances that the pilot leads to the desired
results. Besides, this strategic plan can also be valuable to parishes, institutions or nonprofit organizations (NPO) that want to solve the same problem.
