O presente relatório reporta ao estágio realizado no Centro de Estudos Arqueológicos de Vila Franca de Xira (CEAX). Neste relatório descrevem-se as actividades realizadas, procurando uma abordagem e uma reflexão sobre o que é uma reserva arqueológica e a sua importância num museu com colecções arqueológicas. O presente texto procura discutir conteúdos para a gestão e organização de reservas em contexto museológico, explorando formas organizativas e as suas metodologias de gestão.
Este estágio integra-se no trabalho de gestão de colecções arqueológicas do Museu Municipal de Vila Franca de Xira (MMVFX). Deste modo, para além da criação de um modelo de base de dados, procedeu-se a um inventário das colecções de arqueologia, resultantes de trabalhos de escavação arqueológica, prospecção ou achados fortuitos na região e que estão depositadas no CEAX
This report reports to the internship held at the Center for Archaeological Studies of Vila Franca de Xira (CEAX). Where he describes the activities carried out, looking for an approach and a reflection on what is an archaeological reserve and its importance in a museum with archeology collections. It includes relevant knowledge contents for the management and organization of reserves in the context of museology, exploring organizational forms and their methodologies for managing collections that are outside the exhibition context. This stage integrates preventive conservation of the archaeological collections of the Municipal Museum of Vila Franca de Xira. In this way, a database model was created and the inventory of archaeological collections that were the object of archaeological intervention, exploration or fortuitous finds in the region and that are deposited in CEAX.
