Este estudo é uma análise do fenómeno megalítico na região de Lafões durante o Neolítico. À falta de dados sobre o dia-a-dia destes povos, o estudo das práticas funerárias é uma das melhores formas de compreender estes Homens. Encontra-se no Megalitismo de Lafões uma variabilidade dos tumuli e da própria arquitetura das antas, numa cronologia e território específicos.
Para a integração cronocultural e territorial do megalitismo, elaboraram-se Fichas de Registo que incluíram pesquisa bibliográfica, prospeção e análise cartográfica e toponímica, com o propósito final da criação de um mapa de distribuição dos monumentos, que permitiu a interpretação deste fenómeno.
Registam-se neste território grandes monumentos integrados em necrópoles, implantados em plataformas de meia encosta, com boa visibilidade e próximos de cursos de água.
This study is the analysis of the megalithic phenomenon in Lafões during the Neolithic. With almost no data about the day-to-day of these people, the study of the funerary practices is one of the best ways to understand them. You find in the Megalithism of Lafões variability in the tumuli and in the architecture of the dolmens, in a specific chronology and territory. For the chronocultural and territorial integration of the megalithism, some catalog sheets were drawn up that included bibliographic research, archaeological survey and cartographic and toponymic analysis with the purpose of creating a distribution map of the monuments, which led to the interpretation of this phenomenon. In this territory there are registered large monuments integrated in necropolis built in platforms on the hillside, with good visibility and next to watercourses.
