Partindo de uma investigação em Recepção da Antiguidade, demonstramos o caminho percorrido para caracterizar a realidade obscura das agências de notícias a actuar em Portugal nos anos da década de 20 do século XX, com especial enfoque para duas agências cuja presença ofuscava, claramente, a suposta exclusividade da Havas: a Agência Rádio e a Lusitânia. Starting from an investigation in Reception of the Antiquity, we demonstrate the path taken to characterize the obscure reality of news agencies operating in Portugal in the 1920s of the 20th century, with a special focus on two agencies whose presence clearly overshadowed the alleged exclusivity of Havas: the Agência Radio and Lusitânia.
