No município dos Gambos, província da Huíla em Angola a criação do gado bovino, representa a maior expressão do modo de vida das populações, o gado rege o modo de vida destes habitantes agro-pastoris, que fazem o máximo esforço possível para garantir a alimentação dos bois face aos rigores do clima, na região a estiagem faz-se sentir, obrigando deste modo que os pastores rumem em busca de água e pastos favoráveis com as suas manadas, a este fenómeno migratório sazonal denomina-se transumância, resultando num abandono escolar expressivo de crianças e jovens na busca de pasto mais abundante para o seu gado.
Propõe-se a otimização de localização de Escolas Itinerantes, que acompanhem esses movimentos migratórios com a finalidade de garantir a inserção e alfabetização destas crianças e jovens na escola, elencando um modelo de localização alicerçado nos NDVI e NDWI, em duas estações climáticas distintas do ano, com um espaço temporal de dez em dez anos entre elas, permitindo otimizar novos equipamentos escolares com recurso aos modelos location-allocation, favorável a frequência às aulas pelas crianças e jovens das comunidades agro-pastoris no município dos Gambos, numa perspetiva integrada ao modo de vida das populações.
In the municipality of Gambos, Province of Huila in Angola the creation of cattle, represents the largest expression of the way of life of the populations, livestock governs the way of life of these agro inhabitants, who make the maximum effort possible to ensure the feeding of Bulls face the rigors of the climate, in the region the drought is felt, forcing this way that the pastors are looking for water and pastures favorable for their herds, this seasonal migratory phenomenon is called transhumance, resulting in a school dropout expressive of children and young people in the search for more abundant pasture for their livestock. It proposes the optimization of localization of itinerant schools, which accompany these migratory movements in order to ensure the insertion and literacy of these children and young people at school, listing a localization model based on NDVI and NDWI, in Two different climatic seasons of the year, with a temporal space of ten years between them, allowing to optimize new school equipment with the use of location-allocation models, favorable to the attendance to classes by children and youth of the communities Agro in the municipality of Gambos, in an integrated perspective on the way people live.
