According to the meaning of art as a reaction to «reification», concept created by «Marxism» to designate a form of alienation that implies objetification of social relations, it’s possible to see the path of two poets who didn’t meet each other directly, but revealed various artistic affinities. The poets tried to observe and to unriddle the world and it is through the incorporation of strangeness as an answer to obtained impressions that Álvaro de Campos and Carlos Drummond de Andrade show themselves as messengers of values, which are missed in a life more and more mechanized and consequently, empty, because they experience the sense of being between two realities: the one that we are submitted while society, and the inner reality, that they can keep intact, according to their convictions. Both find in poetry the way to touch people, and find that purpouse, rethink the origins, the natural things and what may prevail as essence, even in dark times. This brief investigation establishes the relation between the two poetic routes from the partial analysis of the works and from a systematic comparison of texts, with the intent of making a dialogue that can support the possibility of a poetic identity coincidental to both distinct ways of affording poetry and opening a reflection of influences between both poets.
