secção do Online do jornal PĂBLICO.
tecnologia atual permite.
This report follows a three-month internship at the Online section of PĂBLICO newspaper. The main purpose of this study is to analyze how the Culture section of PĂBLICO has been using the digital tools available, particularly on covering big cultural events. To achieve that, we analyzed the report of a well-known international event like the Oscars, between 2014 and 2018, to portray the evolution of that coverage and identify innovative forms. As a methodology, we used a content analysis complemented with an interview. We concluded that despite the increase in the use of the tools available in the digital world between 2014 and 2018, the coverage is insufficient according to what the actual technology allows.
