Evolução da Sonoplastia para Curtas-Metragens nos últimos 20 anos

Abstract

No âmbito da componente não letiva do Mestrado em Artes Musicais, este documento constitui o relatório do estágio profissional realizado na DMix, Digital Mix Música e Imagem, Lda., empresa produtora de som e imagem. O estágio teve a duração de 400 horas, decorrendo de Outubro de 2016 até Fevereiro de 2017, e contou com a orientação do Professor Doutor Rui Pereira Jorge. Este relatório está organizado em duas partes. Numa primeira parte, são identificados os novos conhecimentos adquiridos durante o estágio, dos quais sobressaem: a perceção de como funciona uma empresa de produção de som e imagem, a utilização de equipamentos de estúdio e a aprendizagem de novas técnicas de sonoplastia. Descrevem-se ainda as várias etapas dos trabalhos desenvolvidos na empresa, dos quais se destacam a sonoplastia para dois filmes utilizando o software Nuendo: a curta-metragem de animação Vincent, realizado por Tim Burton e a curtametragem Above All Else, realizado por Yali Sharon. Na segunda parte do relatório, apresenta-se uma investigação sobre a sonorização de curtas-metragens nos últimos 20 anos, destacando-se as curtasmetragens em live action. O objetivo da investigação é perceber se os autores da sonorização das curtas-metragens foram influenciados pelos estilos musicais mais populares à data da sua realização.

In the scope of the non-teaching component of the Masters on Musical Arts, this document constitutes the report of the professional internship accomplished in DMix, Digital Mix Music and Image, Lda., a sound and image production company. The traineeship lasted 400 hours, from October 2016 until February 2017, under the supervision Professor Rui Pereira Jorge. This report is organized in two parts. In the first part, the new knowledge acquired during the internship is identified, form which stand out: the perception of how a sound and image production company works, the use of studio equipment and the learning of new sound techniques. The various stages of the work developed in the company are also described, from which highlight the two film sound-works using the software Nuendo: the animated short film Vincent by Tim Burton and the short film Above All Else by Yali Sharon . In the second part of the report, an investigation is presented on the sound of short films over the last 20 years, including shortcuts in live action. The objective of the research is to understand if the authors of the soundings of the short films were influenced by the most popular musical styles at the time of their realization.
