Resumo(s)
Due to demographic changes and increasing user expectations, the European healthcare systems
are not able to serve the population’s future needs, so innovative technology-based solutions
must be taken into consideration. However, the efficacy of every technical solution
depends on the end-user; therefore, it is key to understand the patients’ digital preferences.
For this reason, the objective of this study is to investigate the mindset determining technology
acceptance. Distinctive contextual factors reflected in a range of health scenarios as well as
a variety of patient characteristics were included in the analysis. The impact of perceived usefulness
and incentives in form of information and financial rewards were tested.
