Évora possui, indiscutivelmente, um grande legado histórico e cultural, que pode
e deve ser aproveitado para dinamizar e valorizar a cidade contemporânea. Neste sentido,
o Projecto aqui apresentado pretende divulgar, especificamente, a herança romana
da cidade.
O seu principal objectivo será o planeamento de um festival que valorize e difunda
este mesmo património, usufruindo das várias vertentes nas quais se pode traduzir
e reconstituir (exposições, música, teatro, gastronomia, entre outras) e, ao mesmo tempo,
dinamize a cidade de Évora, envolvendo o maior número de instituições possível
(culturais, mas não só) e, também, a sua população.
Évora has, without question, a great historical and cultural legacy, which can and should be used to invigorate and value the contemporary city. In this regard the Project here presented seeks to divulge, specifically, the city‟s Roman heritage. Its main goal is the planning of a festival that values and propagates this cultural heritage, taking advantage of all the aspects in which it can be translated and reconstituted (exhibitions, music, theatre, gastronomy, among others), and at the same time invigorate the city of Évora, involving the biggest number possible of institutions (cultural but not only) and, also, its population
