A Antroponímia na Língua Olunhaneka: Reflexão Sociolinguística e Proposta de Harmonização Gráfica

Com o presente estudo pretendemos contribuir para a reflexão da actual situação antroponímica angolana, fundamentalmente no que se refere à abordagem sociocultural e linguística do léxico antroponímico das nossas comunidades etnolinguísticas angolanas e, de forma especial, da comunidade dos Ovanhaneka na província do Namibe.
Nestas comunidades verifica-se um certo afastamento do léxico antroponímico bantu associado a vários factores e, por consequência desse fenómeno, vai sendo pouco a pouco afastado, confirmando-se, por isso, uma crise da perda do valor cultural e identitário subjacentes aos significados dos antropónimos de origem bantu, mas também dos seus padrões fonéticos e gráficos.
O desconhecimento dos sistemas fonético e ortográfico das línguas bantu torna-se muito evidente, na forma como são graficamente representados alguns destes antropónimos, geralmente segundo o sistema fonético e gráfico do português.
Para este estudo recorremos a teoria e a metodologia específica no domínio da Antroponímia e da Lexicologia. Recorremos também a certos procedimentos baseados na pesquisa de campo, como entrevistas aos “mais velhos” ou “sekulu” da comunidade. Procedemos também à pesquisa documental que consistiu na recolha de alguns documentos oficiais (Cédulas Pessoal, Bilhete de Identidade, Assentos de nascimentos, etc.), onde encontrámos exemplos evidentes de variação gráfica de alguns antropónimos da língua Olunhaneka.
The present study aims to contribute to reflecting on the current situation of anthroponyms in Angola, more specifically as regards the socio-cultural and linguistic approach to anthroponyms in Angolan ethnolinguistic communities, and particularly in the Ovanhaneka community in the Namibe province. In these communities, we have witnessed a certain deviation of Bantu anthroponyms from their origin, which can be tied to several factors. This phenomenon has clearly confirmed a crisis of loss of the cultural and defining values that underlie the meanings of Bantu anthroponyms, while also eroding their phonetic and graphic patterns. The unawareness of the phonetic and orthographic systems of Bantu languages is very clear in the way some of these anthroponyms are represented, generally following the phonetic and graphic systems of the Portuguese language. For this study we employed specific theories and methodologies from the fields of Anthroponymy and Lexicology. We also resorted to a series of field research procedures, such as interviewing the elders, i.e. ‘sekulu’, of the community. We also performed a document research, which consisted in the collection of a series of official documents (e.g., birth certificates, identity cards, birth records, etc.), where we found obvious examples of the graphic variation of some Olunhaneka anthroponyms.
