The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the genius’ character, with Beethoven being the main example, from Wittgenstein’s and Weininger’s philosophies. It investigates to what extent did these two philosophers associate the genius to ethics and to extreme braveness and consciousness. Geniality raises itself from a different perspective than the natural one and it is the point of view of eternity that converts the genius in the symbol of humanity and the highest morals.
