O presente relatório pretende descrever a experiência que a autora teve enquanto estagiária na Sintagma Traduções Unipessoal, Lda., assim como as situações que surgiram durante o mesmo que estejam relacionadas com a tradução de linguagem não padrão para o meio audiovisual.
Será então analisado o estágio em si e os diferentes tipos de trabalho que surgem numa empresa dedicada à tradução audiovisual. Seguidamente, serão analisados os aspetos específicos da tradução audiovisual e, finalmente, os desafios de tradução de linguagem não padrão que surgiram no estágio e o modo como foram resolvidos.
Pretende-se, desta forma, contribuir para a problemática da tradução de linguagem não padrão na legendagem, as questões com que um tradutor se pode deparar e que deve ter em consideração, assim como possíveis soluções para as mesmas.
The main goal of this report is to analyze the experience the author went through as an intern at Sintagma Traduções Unipessoal, Lda., as well as the situations that have emerged throughout the afore mentioned internship that are connected to the subject of the translation of non-standard language. Therefore, firstly the internship itself shall be described as well as all the different types of projects that an audiovisual translation company can tackle. Secondly, there will be a brief analysis of the specific characteristics of audiovisual translation, and finally the challenges the intern has faced regarding the translation of non-standard language and the ways in which they were handled. Thus, this report aims to contribute to the problematic of the translation of non-standard language in subtitling, the challenges that a translator might face and what he should keep in mind, as well as possible solutions to all the aforementioned problems.
