Neste trabalho procuramos dar conta dos pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos que podem conduzir a um recurso terminológico integrado, orientado para a tradução jurídica, que poderá também servir a pesquisa de informação especializada e a consulta de documentação técnica. É com estes objetivos em mente que centramos a nossa análise, tomando como objeto de estudo a terminologia dos contratos de trabalho.
Propomos uma reflexão sobre a necessidade de implementar a qualidade nos produtos terminológicos. Procuramos dar conta de princípios e práticas que possam levar a compilações terminológicas fiáveis, que permitam a pesquisa e a recolha de conhecimento especializado e que possibilitem uma organização sistemática desse conhecimento.
Expomos também a ideia do potencial económico dos produtos terminológicos, os quais se tornam rentáveis pela qualidade, e pelo grau de satisfação dos utilizadores.
In this paper we try to give account of the theoretical and methodological assumptions which may lead to an integrated terminological ressource oriented to legal translation, which can also serve specialised information research and consultation of technical documentation. We present our analysis with these goals in mind taking as object of study the terminology of employment contracts. We propose a reflection on the need to implement quality in terminological products. We seek to realise the principles and practices that can lead to reliable terminological compilations, enabling research and collection of specialised knowledge and a systematic organisation of that knowledge. We also expose the idea of the economic potential of terminological products, which become profitable for the quality, and the degree of user satisfaction.
