As
With increasing digitalization and the emergence of new consumer logics, radio, a means of communication broadcast solely through sound, is surviving and reinventing itself in response to the successive waves of innovation that are reconfiguring the media ecosystem. Emerging technologies and the possibility of new formats and languages, such as podcasts, have provided radio with a set of innovative features and tools, requiring, on the other hand, a restructuring of journalistic practices and a redefinition of the ways in which content is produced and distributed. Thus, in this process of constant metamorphosis, radio is balancing the legacy of tradition and the demands of the future, investing in attracting fragmented audiences while preserving the ethical principles that underpin the profession. So, based on the research question: “How is podcasting incorporated into TSF's editorial structure?”, the aim of this Internship Report is to find patterns and trends in TSF – Rádio Notícias' programming, understanding the strategies for integrating podcasts, an emerging format in the market, into the station's matrix, with a focus on innovation and adapting radio to digital environments. In this context, a mixed methodology was used, combining the analysis of content on the station's programming grid with semi-structured interviews with three people involved in content development. The study concludes that the radio station has been integrating the podcast, mainly as an extension of traditional broadcasting. Despite some occasional efforts at digital innovation, limitations persist in terms of resources and strategic definition, which prevent the format from being consolidated as an autonomous and differentiating tool in the station's ecosystem.
