e estudo destes mesmos dados e as devidas conclusões.
This thesis aims to address the theme of urban art in Covilhã, more specifically, the changes that have occurred in the city since the implementation of the WOOL project, a festival with the aim of dynamizing and rehabilitating areas of the city through art. In a first phase, a bibliographical collection is made on the origin of urban art, from the appearance of paintings on walls in the Paleolithic period, with graffiti in New York, until reaching the Portuguese case, with several examples spread across Portugal, such as from the city of Covilhã. It will be necessary to deconstruct the concept itself, analyzing how the different spheres of society (social, political, economic, cultural) impact the connection between art and the city, using different authors who have studied this process in detail. To analyze urban art in Covilhã, it was necessary to analyze the murals found in the city with a due analysis and deconstruction of the characteristics that involve the city's heritage and people´s perspectives. In a second phase, surveys were distributed at two different times to a sample that could answer the starting questions asked by the researcher, managing to collect information from various types of individuals: residents, students and tourists. Finally, an analysis of the results is given and a due reflection on the information collected from the different authors and the results that were given to me, trying to reach conclusions about this study.
