Os transportes são essenciais no dia-a-dia de cada pessoa, assumindo um papel
fundamental na deslocação de pessoas e bens pelo território. Dentro destes cabem os
transportes de passageiros terrestres de longo curso, que serão o objeto de estudo do presente
relatório.
Com o aparecimento de novas empresas e modelos de negócio inovadores, o mercado
neste setor tem vindo a diversificar-se O número de passageiros tem também aumentado de
ano para ano. Estes fatores, aliados à crescente necessidade de tornar os nossos padrões de
vida mais sustentáveis, levam a que haja, neste momento, uma inerente possibilidade de
expansão no setor. Com efeito, estão a ser planeados vários investimentos de capital
importância para o país, alguns destes incorrendo já em décadas de atraso.
Com o intuito de estudar os transportes terrestres de passageiros de longo curso em
Portugal, este relatório terá como um dos objetivos analisar o panorama atual deste tipo de
transporte, seguidamente apresentando propostas e recomendações para melhorias no setor.
Este trabalho, focado na competitividade destes transportes, está e será recorrentemente
relacionado com a aprendizagem obtida durante o estágio na Flixbus. Por aqui passará o
outro objetivo deste relatório, expor o trabalho realizado durante o período de estágio nesta
empresa.
O estudo efetuado permitiu também perceber alguns desafios e oportunidades que o
setor enfrentará nos próximos anos, bem como diagnosticar recomendações e propor algumas
melhorias. O trabalho terminará posteriormente, nomeando temas semelhantes que poderiam
ser explorados.
Transportion is essential in everyone's day-to-day life and plays a fundamental role in moving people and goods around the country. This includes long-distance land passenger transportation, which is the subject of this report. With the emergence of new companies and innovative business models, the market in this sector has been diversifying. The number of passengers has also increased year on year. These factors, combined with the growing need to make our lifestyles more sustainable, mean that there is now an inherent possibility of expansion in the sector. In fact, a number of major investments are being planned for the country, some of which are already decades behind schedule. With the aim of studying long-distance passenger land transport in Portugal, one of the objectives of this report will be to analyze the current panorama of this type of transport, and then present proposals and recommendations for improvements in the sector. This work, focused on the competitiveness of this type of transport, is and will be recurrently related to the lessons learned during my internship at Flixbus. This is the other aim of this report, to present the work carried out during my internship at this company. The study also made it possible to understand some of the challenges and opportunities that the sector will face in the coming years, as well as to diagnose recommendations and propose some improvements
