e expectativas do público-alvo identificado.
This master's project explores the potential benefits of creating an institutional podcast for the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA), within the context of science communication. The idea emerged during an internship with the Institute’s science communication group, where interest was expressed in exploring the podcast format as a tool to communicate astronomy and reach audiences not yet engaged by other initiatives. Podcasts are an accessible and low-cost digital medium whose popularity has grown significantly among both listeners and producers. In science communication, this format has gained relevance due to its ability to bring scientists closer to the public through more informal and approachable discourse. Additionally, its consumption in non-formal settings (such as during commutes or daily tasks) allows it to reach a broad audience and foster interest in scientific topics, contributing to a more informed and participatory scientific culture. The project applied methodologies including surveys, interviews, and case studies. The findings suggest a generally positive outlook, albeit with some limitations due to the sample’s representativeness. The study also offers recommendations for implementing the IA podcast, based on the preferences and expectations of the target audience identified.
