O presente trabalho visa identificar os desafios da aquisição do Português do
ponto de vista do desenvolvimento da competência intercultural por parte dos
aprendentes universitários chineses, tendo em conta as conceções de ensino de línguas
estrangeiras prevalecentes na China. O trabalho foi levado a cabo por meio de
inquéritos aplicados a aprendentes e professores de duas universidades na China.
Os resultados revelam que fatores como as diferenças linguísticas e culturais e a
falta de exposição ao contexto dos países e regiões onde se fala o Português
dificultam o desenvolvimento da competência intercultural no processo de
aprendizagem.
Conclui-se que a adoção de atividades e estratégias que promovam a consciência
intercultural e o desenvolvimento de materiais didáticos com uma visão plurilingue e
pluricultural podem concorrer para um ensino do português mais diversificado e
integrador, em linha com o mundo globalizado em que vivemos.
This study aims to identify the challenges of acquiring Portuguese from the point of view of developing intercultural competence among Chinese university students, taking into account the conceptions of foreign language teaching prevalent in China. The work was carried out by means of surveys applied to learners and teachers at two universities in China. The results show that factors such as linguistic and cultural differences and the lack of exposure to the context of the countries and regions where Portuguese is spoken hinder the development of intercultural competence in the learning process. It is concluded that the adoption of activities and strategies that promote intercultural awareness and the development of teaching materials with a plurilingual and pluricultural vision can contribute to a more diverse and integrative teaching of Portuguese, in line with the globalised world in which we live.
