Realizado no
intercultural no mundo globalizado
act This report explores the integration of cultural content into the teaching and learning of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL), emphasizing the use of digital resources as a means to foster intercultural competence. Based on theoretical framework that highlights the inseparability of language and culture, the study discusses concepts such as “big C” and “little c” culture, the notion of a “third culture”, and the challenges inherent to cultural transmission in foreign language contexts. Conducted through an internship at the Português et Cetera language school in Lisbon, the project involved the design and implementation of digital didactic material aimed at enhancing learners’ cultural awareness and communicative abilities. The findings suggest that digital resources, when carefully selected and aligned with pedagogical objectives, can greatly enrich the teaching of cultural elements, promote learner autonomy, and create more dynamic, authentic, and engaging learning environments. However the study also recognizes the challenges associated with digital integration, particularly regarding the adequacy of materials for diverse proficiency levels and cultural backgrounds, Ultimately, the report underscores the importance of a critical and reflective approach to the use of digital tools in PFL classrooms, advocating for a balanced methodology that integrates language and culture to prepare learners for real-world intercultural communication,
