This report illustrates the work I developed during my Supervised Teaching Practice at Escola Secundária Sebastião da Gama, throughout the academic year of 2023/2024. The aim of this work was to explore with 12th grade students the lack of representation of female authors in the field of Literary Education in the Portuguese discipline, developing students’ critical thinking on this subject. In order to promote a reflection on females’ condition and writing, I chose to analyse the short story “George” by Maria Judite de Carvalho with the students.
