O presente relatório descreve o trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio
curricular realizado no grupo editorial Atlantic Books, no âmbito da componente não
letiva do Mestrado em Ciências da Linguagem, com especialização em Consultoria e
Revisão Linguística, apresentando uma reflexão relativamente à importância da revisão
em contexto editorial. O estágio teve a duração de quatro meses, com uma carga
estabelecida de 400 horas, tendo sido iniciado no dia 12 de setembro de 2024 e terminado
no dia 16 de janeiro de 2025.
Em primeiro lugar, é feita uma caracterização da entidade de acolhimento,
apresentando-a no panorama do mercado editorial português. De seguida, descreve-se o
processo de revisão, na qual se insere a metodologia de receção, entrega dos textos
originais, bem como a enumeração dos instrumentos de normalização linguística
utilizados durante a realização de cada trabalho atribuído, realçando a pertinência da sua
consulta. Posteriormente, são descritas as atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio, como
forma de destacar as principais questões presentes em cada obra e a metodologia para
superar alguns obstáculos que foram encontrados.
O tema do relatório consiste na evolução da Estilística enquanto disciplina, sendo
por isso apresentado um enquadramento teórico confrontando os principais
posicionamentos clássicos desde o seu surgimento até à atualidade, relacionando-a com
as obras trabalhadas, de forma a enquadrar na prática de revisão marcas de estilo de cada
autor e de cada género.
This report describes the work developed during the curricular internship carried out at the editorial group Atlantic Books, within the framework of the non-teaching component of the master’s degree of Language Sciences, with specialization in Linguistic Revision and Consultancy, reflecting about the importance of revision in the editorial context. The internship lasted four months, with an established workload of 400 hours, from 12th of September 2024 until 16th of January 2025. Initially, the host entity is characterized in the current outlook of the Portuguese editorial market followed by the description of the revision process, including the methodology to receive and deliver the original texts, along with the enumeration of the language standardization instruments that were used during each assigned task, emphasizing its pertinence of usage. Furthermore, the assigned tasks that took place during the internship will be described, to highlight the primordial issues in each literary work and the methodology to overcome the obstacles that were found. The theme of this report is the evolution of Stylistics as a subject. For that reason, a theoretical framework is included, confronting the main classic ideologies starting with an analysis of its emergence until the analysis of the state of investigations made in the current days, followed by a relation with the tasks during the internship, to frame in the revision practice marks of genres and author’s style.
