O presente Trabalho de Projeto em Artes Cénicas visa analisar e corrigir uma
falência existente no contexto pedagógico (e fora deste também) relativamente à ausência
de compositoras femininas no repertório tradicional. Através da realização de uma
programação com componente laboratorial, no espaço da Escola Artística de Música do
Conservatório Nacional, seguindo determinados métodos e linhas programáticas, foi
possível trazer à luz, a nível pedagógico e artístico, figuras femininas que tenham dado o
seu contributo para a história da música ocidental, fazendo-o através do estudo e da
execução de repertório vocal da sua autoria. Para além da introdução de repertório escrito
por mulheres no espaço escolar, foi possível verificar de que modo o público e os
intérpretes aderem ao mesmo, utilizando o "palco” do Conservatório Nacional como
laboratório para a apresentação deste repertório fora do espaço escolar.
This Project in Performing Arts aims to analyze and address a gap in the pedagogical context (and non-pedagogical) regarding the absence of female composers in the traditional repertoire. Through the development of a program with a laboratory component, within the space of the Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional, and following specific methods and programmatic guidelines, it was possible to bring to light, both pedagogically and artistically, female figures who have contributed to the history of Western music. This was achieved through the study and performance of vocal repertoire composed by women in this space. In addition to introducing repertoire written by women into the school environment, it was also possible to assess how both audiences and performers engage with it, using the stage of the Conservatório Nacional as a laboratory for presenting this repertoire beyond the school setting.
