O presente relatório pretende descrever o estágio de três meses, realizado entre setembro
e dezembro do ano de 2024, na editora Caleidoscópio, para obtenção do grau de Mestre
em Edição de Texto. No início deste relatório, será feita uma apresentação da entidade de
estágio – a Caleidoscópio. Num segundo momento, serão descritas as tarefas realizadas,
realçando a sua importância no contexto da editora e alguns obstáculos com que me
deparei durante a realização das mesmas. Posteriormente, será apresentada uma pequena
reflexão sobre a parte teórica do mestrado e de que modo as duas componentes se
complementaram. Serão feitas ainda algumas considerações sobre o papel do editor na
atualidade.
This report aims to describe my three-month internship at Caleidoscópio publishing house, carried out between September and December of 2024, as part of the requirements for obtaining the Master’s degree in Text Editing. First, I will present an overview of the host organization, Caleidoscópio. Secondly, I will describe the tasks I was assigned, highlighting their importance in the context of the publishing house, and also note some of the challenges I encountered while completing them. Lastly, I will briefly reflect on the theoretical aspects of the master’s degree and how the two components complement each other, while also making some considerations about the role of the editor today.
