O presente relatório de estágio tem como objetivo principal apresentar e descrever todas
as tarefas que realizei durante o estágio curricular de mestrado em Ciências da Linguagem
(na área de especialização de Consultoria e Revisão Linguística), na Editora Gato Bravo,
que teve início em setembro e término em dezembro de 2024.
A primeira parte do relatório foca-se principalmente na caracterização da Editora Gato
Bravo, história, características, formas de trabalhar, entre outros aspetos, e dedica ainda
uma especial atenção aos mercados editoriais brasileiro e português. A segunda parte é
composta por uma descrição geral e sucinta das várias tarefas realizadas ao longo do
estágio curricular e tem como objetivo identificar algumas das etapas que compõem o
trabalho editorial e a forma como o mesmo se organiza na editora em questão. A terceira
e última parte focar-se-á em apenas três de entre as várias tarefas realizadas ao longo do
estágio, e tem como objetivo principal apresentar parte do trabalho feito, desenvolvendo
ideias acerca das opções adotadas e, também, acerca das dificuldades enfrentadas.
The main purpose of this internship report is to present and describe all the tasks I carried out during my Master's degree internship in Language Sciences (in the specialisation area of Linguistic Revision and Consultancy) at Editora Gato Bravo, which began in September and ended in December. The first part of the report focuses mainly on characterizing the Gato Bravo publishing house, its history, characteristics, ways of working, among other aspects, and also pays special attention to the Brazilian and Portuguese publishing markets. The second part is made up of a general and succinct description of the various tasks carried out during the internship and aims to identify some of the stages that make up editorial work and how it is organised in the publishing house in question. The third and final part will focus on just three of the various tasks carried out during the internship and its main objective is to present some of the work done, developing ideas about the options adopted and about the difficulties faced.
