O ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras, neste caso específico, de português como
língua estrangeira, contemplou, desde sempre, um percurso muito linear no que toca à
utilização de materiais pedagógicos em sala de aula. Os manuais didáticos, bem como
fichas e exercícios práticos quer sejam de gramática ou de outro domínio, estão na base
do ensino da língua e vigoram como um elemento-chave no processo de aquisição de
capacidades linguísticas. Contudo, é do conhecimento geral que nem todos os alunos
possuem o mesmo processo de aprendizagem nem mesmo ritmos semelhantes, pelo que
a utilização de certos materiais pode ser benéfica para uma parte do grupo de estudantes,
mas não para a sua totalidade. Como docentes e profissionais do ensino das línguas, tornase imperativa a busca por novos caminhos capazes de trazer resultados positivos para a
comunidade educativa. A poesia, vista como um dos estilos literários mais difíceis de
dominar e, por este motivo, vê renegada a sua utilização num percurso de um estudante
de PLE, surge como um potencial enriquecedor linguístico a todos os níveis. É cada vez
mais valorizada a continuação das práticas pedagógicas até ao momento em vigor e
confiar o ensino-aprendizagem aos manuais disponíveis, o que acaba por se traduzir num
ensino progressivamente mais mecanizado. Esta dissertação pretende mostrar as
vantagens da utilização da obra poética no ensino de português como língua estrangeira.
Existe uma necessidade paulatinamente mais veemente de introduzir literatura/cultura no
ensino, uma vez que a aquisição linguística, na sua totalidade, nunca estará completa se
apenas nos basearmos em conjugações verbais ou exercícios de gramática. Expondo,
desta forma, os potenciais pedagógicos desde género literário, esta dissertação procura,
ainda, auxiliar na busca de novos métodos de aprendizagem e enriquecer o currículo de
ensino de português como língua estrangeira. No que concerne à metodologia, será
valorizada a recolha e análise de documentação pertinente bem como a reflexão sobre o
tema escolhido.
The teaching and learning of foreign languages, in this specific case, Portuguese as a foreign language, has always contemplated a very linear path when it comes to the use of pedagogical resources in classroom. The didactic manuals, as well as practical exercises, whether of grammar of other educational component, are at the basis of language teaching and are a key element in the process of acquiring linguistic skills. However, it is common knowledge that not all students have the same learning experience or even similar rhythms, so the use of certain materials may be beneficial for a part of the group of students but not for its entirety. As teachers and professionals of language teaching, it becomes imperative to search for new ways capable of bringing positive results to the educational community. Poetry, seen as one of the most difficult literary styles to master and for this reason, it is rejected by a PLE teacher as a learning material, emerges as a potential linguistic enrichment at all levels. It is increasingly valued the continuation of pedagogical practices until now in force and entrust teaching-learning to the available resources, which ends up being translated into an increasingly mechanized teaching. This dissertation aims, as main objective, to show the advantages of using poetic texts in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. There is an increasing need to introduce literature/culture in teaching, since the language acquisition, in its entirety, will never be complete if we only base it on verbal conjugations or grammar exercises. Exposing, in this way, the pedagogical potentials from this literary genre, this dissertation seeks to help in the search for new learning methods and enrich the curriculum of teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. As regards the methodology, the collection and analysis of relevant documentation will be valued as well as reflection on the chosen theme.
