In an era of digital transformation, the digital euro represents a bold innovation for European
finance. This work project adopts a strategic, forward-looking approach that integrates artificial
intelligence (AI) into Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) design and risk management,
supported by robust legal frameworks. Using a global dataset of CBDC, regulatory
developments, and economical readiness indicators, the research evaluates AI-driven tools to
boost resilience and trust in the Digital Euro ecosystem. Results suggest that combining AI
capabilities with sound legal safeguards can mitigate systemic risks and enhance consumer
confidence, charting a new path for innovation in European monetary policy.
