Resumo(s)
This study examines the sustainability challenges faced by automotive companies within the
electric vehicle (EV) supply chain, focusing on transparency and the environmental impacts of
sourcing critical battery materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel. Through a survey of
automotive companies, the research explores how company size influences the adoption of
sustainable practices and transparency with suppliers. Findings reveal significant barriers,
including high implementation costs, lack of technology, and limited influence over suppliers,
especially for smaller companies. The study underscores the need for enhanced collaboration,
regulatory support, and technological innovation to improve sustainability across the EV supply
chain.
