This thesis explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in combating counterfeiting across
various industries, focusing on its potential as a transformative tool in product authentication
and information management. Traditional anti-counterfeiting methods, such as holograms and
serial numbers, are increasingly insufficient against sophisticated counterfeiters. By analysing
AI's ability to detect counterfeit goods through advanced data analysis, image recognition, and
anti-counterfeiting technologies, this study highlights the benefits and challenges of AI
adoption. The findings offer insights for businesses, policymakers, and researchers on
leveraging AI to ensure product authenticity and enhance supply chain security.
