Este relatório tem por objectivo dar a conhecer o essencial sobre o trabalho editorial que desenvolvi nos três meses de estágio curricular na Imprensa Nacional, a marca editorial da Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda. Tentarei explicar as nuances da revisão de texto de dois livros com características muito distintas: uma reunião de romances previamente publicados e um texto original de carácter biográfico. Neste estágio pude ainda contribuir para o licenciamento de imagens para uso editorial, apoiar a procura de originais de imagens para integrarem uma publicação e ficar a conhecer o modus operandi de uma editora com mais de duzentos anos de história. A descrição das tarefas do estágio é acompanhada, pontualmente, por reflexões críticas acerca da experiência, da qual é feito um balanço nas considerações finais.
This report aims to describe the main aspects of the editorial work conducted during my three-month internship at Imprensa Nacional, the publishing house of Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda. I will explain the nuances of proofreading two books with very different characteristics: a collection of previously published novels and an original biographical text. During this internship, I could also contribute to the licensing of images for editorial use, support the search for original images to be included in a publication, and get to know the modus operandi of a publishing house with over two hundred years of history. The description of the internship tasks is occasionally accompanied by critical reflections on the experience, which are summarized in the final remarks.
