Ao longo dos anos, a escola tem passado por grandes transformações. Essa trajetória é consequência do avanço evolutivo dos novos tempos, tempos estes que nos levam a acompanhar as novas teorias, tecnologias, novas formas de pensar. Desde então, a escola, necessariamente, teve de inovar os seus conceitos face à situação atual.
O presente estudo tem como objetivo abordar através dos dados científicos os principais conceitos do funcionamento dentro da escola. É através deste ponto de vista que procurámos direcionar esta investigação empírica para o campo da gestão da escola e do funcionamento do sistema organizacional, frente ao clima e à cultura da mesma sem deixar de abordar outros temas que fizeram avançar e influenciaram o crescimento do sistema escolar.
As principais referências teóricas foram baseadas em livros, artigos e documentários publicados sobre educação, psicologia do adolescente, diversidade cultural.
A metodologia que utilizámos foi o “estudo de caso”, que consistiu numa investigação entre duas unidades específicas, situadas em zonas distintas. O estudo de caso não só descreve um acontecimento, como também faz menção à recolha de dados e à relação entre as variáveis, considerando-se um estudo sistematicamente planeado, interligando os fatores e acontecimentos que importam ser investigados.
Nesta fase tivemos por base o paradigma quantitativo, procedemos à recolha de dados, e como ferramenta utilizámos o inquérito por questionário.
Os questionários podem servir nas entrevistas de forma direta ou indireta, através do envio pelo correio, ou outros meios, com a finalidade de serem preenchidos e devolvidos ao pesquisador. Optámos pelo método do inquérito por questionário com perguntas fechadas.
Considerando que este tema é muito complexo, procurámos, de uma forma sucinta, abordar os aspetos e conceitos sobre a evolução escolar.
Throughout the years the school has passed for great transformations. That path is consequence of the evolutionary progress of the new times, times these that take us to accompany the new theories, technologies, new forms of thinking. Ever since, the school, necessarily, had to innovate their concepts face to the current situation. The present study has objective approaches through the scientific data and the main concepts of the operation inside the school. It is through this point of view that we tried to address this empiric investigation for the field of the administration of the school and the operation of the organizational system, front to the climate and culture of the same, without leaving of approaching other themes that made to move forward and they influenced the growth of the school system. The main theoretical references were based on books, goods and documentaries published about education, the adolescent's psychology and cultural diversity. The methodology that we used was the “case study”, that consisted on an investigation among two specific units, located in different areas. The case study not only describes an event, as well as he makes mention to the gathering of data and the relationship among the variables, being considered a study systematically planed, interconnecting the factors and events that it matters to investigate. In this phase we had for base the quantitative paradigm, we proceeded to the gathering of data, and as tool we used the inquiry by questionnaire. The questionnaires can serve in the direct interviews or in an indirect way, through sending by mail or other means with the purpose of being filled out and returned to the researcher. We chose the method of the inquiry for questionnaire with closed questions. Considering that this is very complex theme, we tried, in a brief way, to approach the aspects and concepts about the school evolution.
