Os sistemas de inteligência artificial estão sendo implementados nas redações em Portugal, levando os jornalistas a observar transformações em suas práticas de trabalho. Atualmente, o uso da IA é mais individual do que organizacional, embora algumas redações já estejam desenvolvendo ferramentas próprias. Essa nova tecnologia gera mais preocupação do que entusiasmo, mesmo que os jornalistas reconheçam tanto vantagens quanto desvantagens em sua adoção. Treze jornalistas e/ou editores falam de como estão a ver a implementação desses sistemas em seus processos de trabalho e demonstram que a principal preocupação é com a falta de discussão sobre a ética dos sistemas de IA, que pode comprometer o código deontológico da profissão.
Artificial intelligence systems are being implemented in newsrooms in Portugal, leading journalists to observe transformations in their work practices. Currently, the use of AI is more individual than organizational, although some newsrooms are already developing their own tools. This new technology generates more concern than enthusiasm, even though journalists recognize both advantages and disadvantages in its adoption. Thirteen journalists and/or editors discuss how they are witnessing the implementation of these systems in their work processes and highlight that the main concern is the lack of discussion about the ethics of AI systems, which could compromise the profession's deontological code.
