This master's thesis presents an initial effort to address Type 1 Diabetes management challenges
by integrating medical, psychosocial, and technical perspectives. Utilizing qualitative and
quantitative research methods alongside a proof-of-concept approach, the study identifies key
gaps in patient needs and existing management strategies. Predictive models were developed to
provide personalized recommendations for self-management accompanied by a preliminary
marketing strategy for future market entry. Findings highlight the need for innovative, usercentric
solutions and accentuate extensive regulatory and ethical considerations. This serves as
a foundational step in improving patient’s quality of life necessitating further research and
development for practical application.
