Resumo(s)
In today’s crisis-affected world, soft skills like empathy are increasingly important for effective
leadership. While prior research shows that empathy can be trained, existing publications are
focused mostly on healthcare settings. This quasi-experimental study examines whether
empathy training can enhance emotional intelligence (EI) and crisis leadership abilities among
business school students through a 90-minute face-to-face training. Although no significant
impact on the respective constructs was found, participants demonstrated strong knowledge
retention and high satisfaction with the intervention. This work thus provides a practical,
replicable toolkit for integrating empathy training into business education and serves as a basis
for future research.
